Where the data comes from

Registries in all 54 African markets.

Baks reads registries, regulators, tenders and local business media market by market. Everything downstream — the companies you approve, the people you contact, the signals Radar surfaces — is built from what it found and can point back to it.

What is Konexium?

Konexium is a research agent for doing business in Africa. Tell Baks who you need — buyers, suppliers, distributors or partners — and it answers the four questions that matter before you call: who fits, whether they are real and active, why now, and who decides. Every answer carries its source.

Who is Konexium for?

Any company, in Africa or anywhere else, that wants to sell into African markets, source from them or expand across them — and the agencies and consultants who do that work for clients. The users are global; the research is African.

Is it only for finding customers?

No. The same research finds suppliers and manufacturers to buy from, distributors and agents to sell through, and partners for a new market. You describe the company you need; Baks finds it and proves it exists.

How is this different from a contact database?

A database gives you names and emails and leaves you to guess the rest. Konexium checks each company against its official registry, drops dissolved companies and middlemen, finds dated signals such as tender awards and expansions, and shows the channel the company actually publishes, including WhatsApp. It also keeps watching your markets after the first list, with Radar.

Does Konexium find WhatsApp numbers for African companies?

Yes. Many African businesses publish a WhatsApp click-to-chat link on their own website instead of an email address, and Konexium collects it with the page it was found on, so you can see the source. Numbers are never guessed or bought from a checker. Konexium does not send WhatsApp messages — it gives you the link and you start the conversation yourself.

What if a decision-maker has no public email address?

That is the normal case in these markets, and it is why most contact databases come back empty. Konexium reaches the person through their employer's published business address, addressed to them by name and role, and shows any WhatsApp line the company advertises. Addresses are never guessed from a pattern like firstname@company.com.

Which African markets does Konexium cover?

Coverage spans registries, tenders and local business media across African markets, with the depth, freshness and source mix shown transparently per market on the coverage page.

Is Konexium compliant with NDPR and POPIA?

Konexium is built with NDPR and POPIA in mind: workspace audit trails, suppression lists, consent-aware outreach controls and evidence links, so you can demonstrate accountability.

Is there a free trial?

The Free plan is the trial, and it does not expire: 1,500 credits every month, three campaigns of up to 20 companies each (your guided first campaign is one of them) and no credit card. That is enough to judge the evidence for yourself. When you need more, we build a monthly plan around your team. Failed research is never billed.
